I have been busy in the few last days, doing many things such as " sleeping, sneeking and praying". Life here where i am now is hmmm boring, peaceful and beautiful plus HOT!:...I have read the following from the book titled "What Went Wrong?" by Bernard Lewis:
In The fountains They no longer wash
In the mosques they no longer pray.
The places that prospoered are now desolate.
The Austrian Has taken our beautiful Buda.
the peom was written by a turkish lament after they lost Buda to Hungary after 150 years of control. The lose of that city in 1686 to the Austrians meant a new era of defeats to the Ottoman Empire. They lost city after city. In History you learn many things to solve today's problems but in present you learn only one thing which is "how to avoid future's history"

I always believe that history repeats itself. Although this book was written before September 11 attacks, it is helpful to understand "what went wrong"!!
The book reflects our way of thinking, i.e. looking for someone to blame for our own failure, rather than to ask "what we didn't do right"!!
