Over 8,000 species of ants cover the planet. Most are harmless, but some have a violent streak. African driver ants have eaten a horse in a day and suffocated a human, and the army ants of South and Central America can wipe out entire ecosystems.

Most Dangerous Ants

Siafu (driver ant), interesting fact, they hunt the male who is the biggest ant in the world, cut his wings, and keep him as a prisoner for the queen to mate with in the future..just to use his sperms. Plus they can hunt a whole immbolized horse and eat it within days or even chickens or humans...(population can be 22millions in a colony) When they rage a land they can kill 2 millions insects a day.

Army Ants: which is alike the Siafu Ant except it has venome, the siafu ants dont have venome but a stronger jaw. Population can reach 2millions but they do rage attacks for very large areas to clean up the lands from any victim. Can kill 50,000 insects a day.
